i say since you already have them, go ahead and put them in. they can only help, and if for some reason, i dont really know what, they hurt your system, get rid of them... as for the batteries, you need to hook them up parallel. i wouldnt do it though, it seems to me you have plenty of power as it is, and you dont need any extra batteries. are you noticing problems??? i dout it with a stinger 200 amp alt. the extra batteries will basically do 2 things 1. let you play your system with the engine off for a longer period of time, and 2. put a strain on your alt. i suggest that you dont add the extra batteries unless your having problems....

Actually more batteries will increase your voltage a bit . Will only get a volt or two extra from more batts and will definitly put more load on the alt when the cars running . I use dual batteries and a bank of capacitors and have very little if no voltage drop. But i dont compete , so i could be wrong .

The easiest way is to wire all your batteries in parallel . Connect the engines battery to your 2 optimas in parallel without any silinoids. Wire the caps as closew to the amps as possible . All batteries will charge and drain simutaneously. Its the easiest way , i dont know how to wire it to isolate the extra batts . I have a 100 amp alternator wired to 2 optimas in parallel with no problems at all.

First of all if you want the whole low down on this subjest go to my web site and check out this topic http://hertzaudio.com/faq.htm First the caps will be nothing but a detriment to spl, this is explained in detail on my FAQ. Seconds due to the low internal resistance of the optima's if they are in the trunk close to the amps you will not even notice the caps while listening to everyday music. As far as hooking it up, it depends on whether you listen to the stereo with the car turned off allot or not. If you do then use the selenoid, if not then don't even though it will not hurt anything. Do you know how to intall the sel? The batteries are easy, simply run you power wire that comes from the front batt (should be at least 2awg in you case with that large alt)to pos on the batteries in the rear, then ground the neg of the batts in the rear to a good spot on the chasis. You can then run your amps etc right off the rear batteries, just remember you need fuses.
