if i remember correctly my friend had one of those computers that you hook up to new cars to find out what is wrong with them but his was made to change stuff like tire size, top speed, when to shif gears,ect.. i think idel speed was on there too.

CAreful here too... doing that will most likely void any warrenty you may have on your car....
Also, if you have an older car... you can manually change your idle rpm's as well... but everything has its consequences...

I know what you are talking about LIttle Dragon.. at one show, I raised my RPM.. then after the show, I tried to lower it back to normal.. then the idle would "surge".. it would go high for a sec, then drop big time, then repeat... come to find out, I didn't turn it back enough... few more turns, and everything was fine.... but I won't be doing that for a while.... lol

You can get a bigger engine, well I knew that one was out of the picture or you can get a 4 barell holy carb which will eat up gas, but give you more rpm's and is easily adjusted.

On newer EFI cars, idle speed can be adjusted by changing the setting on the chip. On marine engines and older carbed engines, just adjust the idle adjustment screw. This does void warranty.

Im assuming your trying to get your ride to idle higher to make your alt produce more at idle , if so then go with a smaller racing pulley on your alternator , might void the warrantee on the alt but is better than blowing up your engine .

With allot of cars you can simply fool the car into thinking the AC is turned on and the idle will raise a couple hundred RPM. Otherwise you could mount a servo on your throttle assemble but that requires allot of fabrication. Like everyone has said old non EFI cars are easy just turn in the idle screw.
