I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee and i want to run a second battery. Is there anything special I should know or do? Do I just run my battery cables to the back and thats it? I am also going to put a optima battery in the back also. Please give me all your info on this. Thanks

just run some 4 guage to the back and make sure you use a circut breaker at each end. the reason is if the wire should short to ground anyplace between the 2 batteries either of the 2 batterys can send current to the location of the short and cause a fire.

yes use a circuit breaker on both ends. near the front and near the back. you are hooking up batteries, so yes, battery cable is fine!!!!!!! thats about all i can think of.....oh wait, make sure the battery in back is properly secured, so its not falling over and hitting things etc.

Use a breaker on both ends on both cables? Any particular circuit breaker? I am going to build a little something to put the battery in to keep it from moving. Thanks for the help Greg!!!
