I can get both of these batts for roughly the same price and I was wondering if the SVR 80 is as good under the hood as the Yellow? I can't remember ever seeing a SVR as a starter battery. Thanks for the feedback everyone..... Posts: 4564 | From: Carolinas, USA | Registered: Sep 1999

where you going to get your svr from? the 50s are made to replace civic and acura stock batteries under the hood so i'm sure they can be used as starters. now i just need to figure out if i should get the 50 or if the 80 will work

Thanks todd
I think if price isn't an issue I'd go with the Optima's...That appears to be the frontliner of the batts right now. You should be able to find the SVR's way cheaper however......
