Im thinking of using about 4 exide 8v batteries in my trunk. For the time being im gonna go get two of them until i get a little more cash. Ill be powering my 2 DEI 1100d's with them. Kyle (BMFNeon) runs 10 of these exact same batteries in his car with 4 BMF1000d's and he says he can play his all day long and still have plenty of charge left. Is that realistic? Im not sure how much of a gain ill get from the 16v stuff but hell the batts are cheaper than optimas and have a larger amp/hr rating as well. i just want them to last so im not recharging 24/7!

if i dont go with the 16v im thinking of a few 12v deep cycles in the trunk. someone told me that a deep cycle battery wouldnt strain the alternator as much as a starting battery because they take the charge slower. is he full of it?

regardless...i dont think my 80amp stock alternator will want to charge 4 extra batteries in the trunk, and a h/o alt for my car is wayyy too expensive for me. its like $600 plus brackets wire and all that. so if the 16v's will run my system all day im thinking of going that route.

what you guys think?

Team Speakers Are Stupid

My friend said that my speakers are cooler than yours.... therefore I'm cooler than you are. Don't argue with me about it either.

umm first thing make sure your amps can handle that for daily driving. standing voltage will be around 17 volts or so. Umm if your amps can handle it go for it. yes dual 16 volt electrial systems would do nicly because higher voltage less current draw which means less of drain on batteries. Plus these have hudge reserves. I bet you will need to charge them up often if you use them allot. Ask kyle i mean he has experiece with them. Dont hook up those 4 12's to your atlernator. It will flip. Just make sure your amps can handle it and if they can by a pair of the exides and try it out hey its only 80 bucks and you can never have to many batterys.
