Is it okay to put any alternator in any car as long as you upgrade your charging wire and get enough batteries to absorb the power the alt puts out?
for example: Could I put a fire engine alternator(300amps) in my car as long as I had like 2 0ga charge wires and about 3 deep cycle batteries in my car?

if done right... you can do this. make sure that you have room for it to fit, im sure that you would more than likely need specially fabracated mounts made for the alt. with correct pulley ratios, along with additional power wire and reserve batteries upgrades. also voltage regulation of the charging system would need to be correct. it is not always easy to find a person or place of bussiness that offers such serves. you may want to check with any people that build race cars around the area, they maybe capable of doing it or know of some other possible contacts, for you to talk to. most importently ....is that it is done correctly or some serious damages CAN occur!

lol
the serious damages have already been done! I had a shop install a 190 amp alt in my car and it burnt the wires that were running to it. I was driving and the next thing I know my car was running with no lights and no radio and then a few minutes later it finally stopped. about 7 or 8 streets from my house. I said f*ck it, and pushed it home. lol

Just a hint if you are planning on custom installing a large alternator, I sugest you stick with an AC delco product. They are the easiest and cheepest to fix, and have the most part available for upgrading them to higher amperages.
