hello this is my ? .i have 2 batterys one a yellow top and the 2nd is a stinger power 2 what i need to know is can i run 1 under the hood and the 2nd in the trunk or do they have to be the same type of battery . also whats the best way to connect them .i heard about battery isolators but dont know much about wiring the 2 up together thanks james

FOr ultimate safety and convenience, use a battery isolator. For SLIGHTLY better performance, use an isolating solenoid (big azz relay) to separate the two when the car is off.
