Are there any component sets out there for a reasonable price <400$ that can handle 200 w rms? Not necesarily rated, but can handle it?

Well i think that kickers resolution's can handle that. This is what is on the wab site tweeters 150 watts max Mid 100 watts max. So if you go by that they sould handle 200 fine.

Hey specter, how much do those cdtechs run for the 6.5" component set? Are you happy with them? Also , i was wondering if anyone knew if the Polk DX's could handle that?

very nice, very clean.

They retail around $550+ , but if you are looking for a good price, email me.

I concur with JLCrossfire. If you've got them crossed-over, you can send extra power to them. The bass is what will kill them faster than anything.

Either run external or internal hi-pass on them and that should allow you to send 200 without a problem. Also, just make sure your gains are set right. You might want to put a pair of passives on them too. Those will help any post-imput noise fluxuations.

Good advice from above too on brands and set-ups.

So with that much power, would it be wiser to go with multiple amps and electronic x-overs, or will passives work fine too? I know that they have their power limitations also......
