Ok, most of y'all know that I do most of my work with co-axials (easier to budget). But, I was thinking of going with comps in the s-10. I can do 6.5S" drivers in the door (co-ax or comp). Up by where the arm rest of the door is molded, it angles up a bit. the angled part is detachable (not sure if they still are, this is in a 96). I could easily take that part off, cut a hole into it and mount the tweeter.

My question is, would a tweeter sound good that high up on the door? Most ssets that I've seen done are on the Kicks, but many have been A-pillars too.

Music typically = Classic Rock, Metal (Priest, Overkill, Iced Earth, etc.) , Hard Rock (Van Halen, AC/DC, Maiden). Could probably do a 50x4 or a little bigger amp.

Thanks guys/gals!!

My other alternative (don't want to give up that comfy leg room for kicks - knees would never be happy again [not like they ever are anyway]) is to do a factory replacement with a 6.5S" co-ax. Which, isn't a bad option, just didn't know if I could get away with the comp set.

Again, thanks.

I think that it would be fine for daily jamming. Plus with the tweeter being high on the door, you won't loose output when you have a passenger with you.

I would use some velcro and try your tweets in several places before permanently mounting them. Put them where YOU think they sound best, after all, who drives the truck????

STILL waiting to hear a GOOD pair of HLCD's!!

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...
