The woofers and the crossover networks are different. The K2 uses a woofer that incorportaes a phase plug in the cenetr of the cone, where the dust cap would normally be, which controls the dipersion and phase characteristics of the drivers at mid and high frequencies. This results in a more coherent midband reproduction, improving imaging and soundstage recreation as well as inner voice detail........
