Can anybody suggest a decent set of 4"separates for a fairly resonable price?

What is a good price for you?The kicker Resolutions are good they are like $300 give or take a little. As for as sq they are good.Kicker wins alot of sq comp like 75%.
OK Impulse are even cheaper around $250.

Rockford Power series. Since they are discontinued, try the FNQs.

For a true kickbutt comp set for mediocre $$, try Canton (soon to disappear in Canada guys...)

Infinity Kappa offers a 4x6 plate that takes 60 RMS for 150. I'm not sure what their 4" comp set takes RMS wise, but take a look at Crutchfield.com for pricing.

I've run Kappa for years and have never been disappointed.

I've heard the CV Stealth Comps and Vega co-axials. The Vega series takes a lot more and offers a lower bass extension - very beefy for a 4. BestBuy has them.

Dukk's suggestion of the RF (anyone else suprised ) is a darn good one!! I've never been displeased with their products and their prices have dropped to a nice pleasant level too .

MTX....not sure about - Black Gold if you can still find them = good. Also, CircuitCity has JBL coaxials that can be switched to comps - tweeter is removable. They look pretty sleek and sound pretty good too .

DEIs seem to be rather popular and have been making their owners very happy for the sound:dollar ratio.
