Just wondering at what frequency the sound becomes directional? I was going to run my 6.5's in the rear deck for the time being, but am considering running them in doors or kicks now. They will run 80hz to 300 hz. Just wondering if you think these frequencies will sound better coming from kicks rather than the rear deck. Let me know your thoughts please.
Thanks,
Jesse

I think 300hz is a bit high. I usually lowpass at about 200hz with a very steep xover.

It pr'lly is individual but sounds become directional at about 200hz IMO. Wouldn't harm to lowpass even lower I think. Try if possible.

Thank you for the reply. After experimenting a little, I've found that 200 does give me the best sound in my setup.

Anything below 200 hz is omni-directional. If you can point your mid bass directly towards you you can run them higher then 300 hz tho.

I've found that, for my ears anyway, anything above about 70hz is directional information, and that is why I like to use stereo subwoofers in the front somewhere. I think you'll have overall better results from the kickpanels.
