Any tweet that you can get for 100$ a pair will more than likely be acceptable, I'd be on the lookout for tweets up to maybe 149$ (for a pair, not each! :-) ) and watch for big brand names.. However, don't buy a big brand name if its too damn expensive.. Get over to an audio shop and take a listen to the tweets they have there and see if any of them "jump out" to your ears. Then, just buy those ;-)

I Agree with the going and listening part. I run Infinity Beta's personally, they aren't made anymore. I would give them 2 thumbs up...you might be able to find some used ones.

Dude,

Go to Crutchfield.com. They have tweeters for sale there from 50 on up/pair (think they go down to $50 usd). Kenwood and Pioneer up to Infinity and RF, etc.

Also, there's a dude on this page, Roosta, who is thinking of getting a pair of 4" mids from RF, but can't without getting the tweeter, talk to him . Might be able to get Roosta's extra set of tweets . That'd make a good deal for the both of you .

btw, Rangers are nice to do systems in. Did a friend's, back in 95. LA Sound amp running into California 8s (2 of them) off of an Alpine cd HU, and 2 6.5" Alpines in doors and 4" Alpines in dash. Not the greatest equip, re: Califonia & LA Sound, but for college, it pounded rather well .

SS,

Prolly locked up in that closed government LAN that I've been working at the last 2 months......very limited Net access, if I can find a colleague out of their office .

They are a fun truck to do, just kinda tight at times...sorta like that first s-10 of mine .

I agree with the Ranger part. Systems end up pretty good for SPL anywayz in them. I have done quite a few. Especially with an extended cab. With only 2 JL 10w6's running at 3ohm on an Orion XTR amp(400w or so) we had the back sliding glass window flexing in one.

Ouch. I haven't had much luck with it getting big numbers, hovering around 140's right now with a LOT of power and three high excursion subs.. Although its set up for SQ, maybe I'm expecting a little much.
