06 GTI has 6 1/2's in the door and a 4" further up the door, the 4" has to be a shallow mount. My two options are get a pair of 6 1/2" components and a 4" coax or something and use my 3 way crossover. OR ive been looking at a few 3 way sets, ive always wanted to try Focal but the K2's are out of my price range. How are the polyglass for the money?

what 2 ways are you running now?

I've used eclipse 3 ways which are awesome...

right now I'm using the Pioneer PRS componets...they are f'n nuts man

They sound great and just 1 pair with a sundown 4 channel keeps up with my 4 15s pretty great.

Plus you can find them for like 250 bucks a set

I've never like any eclipse speakers. but
I have a set of the PRS components at home. I got mine free from Pioneer [Big Grin] did't even pay shipping. But anyways, I have only taken mine out of the box to look at them. I've heard the D-series components, and they are damn good for a $220 retail component set. The PRS retail for $550. If they are really that much better, I'm gonna be stoked to use them,,,,if I ever do anything with them.
I've already got Boston's in my car. and Kenwood's new Excelon 2ohm components just sitting around in the box too

Must be nice!!! [Mad]

But yeah man the PRS series sounds GREAT and super loud.

The tweeter is a little harsh out of the box but with a little bit of eq it makes them sounds 1000x better...SO smooth

If you decide you don't want to use them I'll take them off your hands
