Anyone here running either the Powerbass 4XL mids and horns or the Soundstream Pro series mids and horns? What do you guys think of them? Ik Pipo is running the Soundstream Pro's and i know Neil Barber is running the Powerbass 4XL's. Anyone here run them or heared them? I dont see how Pipo and Neil arnt having problems with midbass tho, seeing the mids are only good down to about 100hz and i dont think they are running dedicated midbass drivers.

Thanks
Corey

Ive heard both of their cars and they both sound awesome.

Midbass is overrated unless you're doing a SQ system. Its IMPOSSIBLE to hear midbass when these cars are playing music at almost 160dbs.

I used both the soundstream tweets and 8" midbass in my last system. The tweets were used in conjunction with my Image dynamics mini horns. The 8" midbass I used in conjunction with my Cadence 6.5 midrange. Both of these sounded great at all volume levels and could keep up with my 149 db's. Keep in mind I was running 80 watts RMS to them. Hood loud and clear. I would not have sold them had I not lost my license.

We have ran the powerbass mids and soundstream models. The powerbass are 4 ohms and soundstream are 8 ohms. We have only had a few soundstream models crap out on us. The powerbass 4xl's with soundstream bullet tweets. We have hadn't crapped out yet. we run 150 rms to the in the new Focus.

Well, no. The REAL deal is the JBL 2402 and the likes. The Beyma is a copy of the JBL- Beyma was started by a former JBL employee and knocked off a few JBL stuffs in their early days.

Quality is better? You are joking right? Or have you never seen a JBL in person?

I'm sorry, but pretty much everything proaudio related came from JBL or has ties back to JBL.

How can you say they look nothing like JBL? Only the last picture you posted doesn't resemble the JBL.

FWIW, I have Beyma CP-21f slot tweeters in my home horn system. they sound great.
