The powerbass are 4 ohm and the soundstream are 8 ohms also. Both sound equal good, Also powerbass has a stamped basket and the soundstream is a cast basket. Tes, both get rather LOUD!!

That I do not know just that beyma is out of spain but probably is built in china like everybody else.and their specs are virtually identical in parameters such as within 1 db of same sensitivity and the same frequency response

This is what I've got so far 1992 Honda Civic Up Front I.D Horns under the dash ol' school cheap ones I am about to upgrade to the v.3 which are 109 db 1w/ 1meter as well 2 Cadence CVL 6.5 Midranges Powered off a Cadence Daytona DCA-4100 In the rear I am using The 8" 4 ohm Midbass SS That will be powered off a new SS TRX 2.640= 210X2 Watts RMS I meant to order the 4 channel but I didn't but this will actually work out a little better provided I can supply the voltage. I learned that lesson the hard way with a xxx-6500 The Horn Tweeters will be ran in Parallel of the horns I'm thinking Fiberglass on top of the Dash Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 15 tuned to 38hz powered off The new TRX-2000D pushing about 1700 Watts RMS

but if you look in the powerbass catalouge the one compression tweeter they have is almost identical to the soundstream which is made by beyma and the midbasses are about the same as well.

yeah you are probably right I know other people do build them but i would tend to believe that companies of the same caliber ss, powerbass, cadence, and beyma probably have a deal worked out as probably the lesser manufacturers do like, Boss, audiopipe, & pyle . I just know the company I work for has alot of speakers built for us in China that are also made for other manufacturers as well.

All my 6.5" and 8" are Beyma. They are expensive and have no warranty. I had them a long time without problems but that no warranty thing is a no-no. I would give the SS a shot afterwards if I blew something
