I use beyma with the right power and crossed over properly. Manny you know I'm a poster child for Beyma but all I'm saying is that there are cleaner or better sounding mids but not as loud.

Here in Hellas we use lots of 8" and 10" BEYMA mids on each door panel (4-6 or sometimes 8 pcs) as well as CELESTION-truvox, 18sound,matched with Beyma 2 or 3 horn twets (CP 21 or CP 22)
With the proper amplification and fine tuning they can be stupid loud and quite clean...
My opinion is that the CELESTION is the most clear in sound and reliable, from all these PA speakers...

Beyma is good stuff...considering they got their start with ex JBL employees, what would you expect. They also have some really good knock offs of some JBL proaudio woofers.

Really, I didn't know that. I thought "O2", "Whip" Cadence, Dayton, SOundstream sreaming eagles were knockoffs of Beyma. New thing I learned today

I am using Beyma CP755nD compression drivers in my car. And the CP380/M drivers are considered to be some of the finest 1" compression drivers made, short of TAD. Also, I am probably going to get a set of CP21/fs for my home speakers.
They have some damned nice product, now, how it is used might be a different story. You know?

DANN, How much space are you giving them? Im assuming they are sealed? and whats your crossover frequencies?
I was interested in using these but I wanted to get down to like 90hz but there is just no way.....Just wondering how low they get and how well they do between say 500hz and 180hz if you go that low.
Also you guys might find this interesting,
Right now I have the fostex 6.5" fullrange hooked up to a sony 500W CES rated amp. Im probably getting 150w into each one. They are rated 15W, or 65W music, and I can crank them till right below the point where the amp distorts for 10-15 min with no apparent damage. 180hz to 5k, in the door not sealed. They have trouble at the low end but sound good otherwise. My point is, its amazing how much power a speaker can handle if your feeding it a clean undistorted signal. If I let the amp distort at all, those things would not last 15 sec!
