currently i have 2 6.5 component sets in my front doors w/ the tweets in the dash, being ran of an amp that does 300x2 @ 2ohms (underrated). yes it gets loud but i want it unbearable if sitting in the truck (s-10 extended cab) but still sound nice (no i dont want to sit in it that loud)

i have 2 amps to dedicate to front stage
(amp 1) 100x2 @4ohms and 150x2 @2ohms (underrated)
(amp 2) 200x2 @4ohms and 300x2 @2ohms (underrated)
*(i'd rather not run at 2 ohms b/c the amps get hot after long playing)*

that should be enuff to get loud right???

ive got a 3kw substage and need something to keep up when i get my new box done.

i was thinking horns and a beefy mid/midbass or 2

fans.

should get loud, what comps are you using? how low are you trying to play them?

a hefty sub stage, can be hard to keep up with @ full tilt. and it is also a lot of pressure for you mids to have to fight against.

Horns and high efficiency eights or tens are the way to loud.

well i have two sets of DLS MS6's rated at 150wrms w/ an 89.4db sensitivity. they are in "smallish" sealed pods w/ polyfill in my doors and i have them crossed over around 63 or 80hz (depending on if windows are down or up and how loud im playing them)

they keep up fine in car but when i open up the doors they just dont stand out to me.

do you think i should open the pods up into the door so they are playing in a much larger enclosure. that should gain some efficiency in the midbass and midrange correct?

i think they'd sound better if you opened up the back of that small sealed chamber.

even with 2 sets, it can be hard to keep up with a lot of bass. and when you roll down a window or open the doors, you're likely gaining 3db +/- on the subs volume.
