Ever heard of them? They call them m&m's. I went to a local shop today and a guy had one of these 6" in each door and they were loud as #&*$!!!!!!!!!!!! It was about as loud as someone with 6 tweets and 6 mids in a door. You could hear it down the street. They are studio speakers I think. Anyone ever heard of them?

Sure...they are one of the largest OEM speaker builders in the country.
The Alpha 6 is a high efficiency 6 that is pretty well reguarded in the home hi-eff world.

They make pro audio speakers so most of their drivers are really efficient, never head of them myself but your local club probably sounds like it.

Here in Greece there are a lot of cars using PA midrange speakers, mostly ΒΕΥΜΑ or CELESTION.One can see 4 ,5 or even 6 8" in each door and there are a few cars with 3 or 4 10" CELESTION truvox.Very few use EMINENCE but they are quite good. If you are interested i could post some pics...

I've used eminence for years. recently switched to fostex 6 1/2". Actually my 8 ohm alpha 6's got old, replaced them with the 4 ohm version, didnt like the 4 ohms (8 ohms are louder), and then I just went to the Fostex 15 watt /65 watt music rated 6 1/2" paper cones with the whizzer cone. Im pumping 125W clean into each one down to ??? I think around 150Hz and they are fine. I never let them distort though....
I still think the alpha 6 (8ohm) are the loudest but the fostex are a little more detailed. Lower Qes.

That is absolutely ridiculous. One of those speakers or at least 1 JBL PRO midbass would be as loud as an ear can handle that close and at least you would have imaging. Damn and I thought I had problems.

Those Eminence you heard are only like $35 shipped for each 6.5. Right now for mids/highs I have 6 Eminence Alpha 6s, 4 Alpha 12s, and 8 Selenium DT350 Bullet tweeters. Will be on about 1,800rms all together when theyre put in. Should be pretty loud.
Heres some loud guys from around here. The first guy has like 6 12s, and 4 8s... Second guy has 6 15s and 6 tweets. 3rd guy has... Get this...
36 B&C 12s and 28 Selenium horns. Its ****ing retarded loud. Its 5x louder than any concert Ive ever been to. Its nowhere even near up in the video, as you cant really stand within 20 feet of it without severe pain. He actually gets flex from vocals on songs, and you can feel the vocals in your chest. Its crystal clear for a good mile at least.

I have the b&c 6.5" midranges (B&C 6PEV13). I use a pair for my center channel with an apt-80 super tweeter on my h/t as a center channel they sound great. My question is does anybody know if the eminence alpha 6a 8 ohm sound as good? They are way cheaper. I plan to do my whole 7.1 system with one or the other. I am running a crystal comp x2 15 in a 6 ft^3 box with 86^2 port tuned to 33 hz running off of a crest cc 1800 amp.I also have a eD spv.3 that is almost an identical twin to the crystal sub that im going to make an identical enclosure for. Anyway if anyone has heard the eminence midrange let me know their opinion of its sound quality. I want loud AND clear.

I have the Alpha 6A in my Excursion and moved them to the back doors after I tried the B&C 8PS21 The B&C are a lot warmer then the Eminence.
