I am working on installing some new sounds in my 1997 Eclipse. I Have Narrowed it down to 2 choice's Boston Acoustics Pros or MB Quart's PCE. I have Owned Boston's and MB Quarts in the past about 5 years ago. My question is they have both changed a lot since I last own either one. How do they both Fair Now.

Well i Bought some Boston pros 5 1/4 today I was going with the MB Quarts But they wanted $250.00 for the Reference RVF 216 I ended up getting the Boston Pros for $320.00 out the door.
I was going to get the 6 1/2 but they didn't have any in stock its OK now i wont have to modify my door for them to fit.
My next question is will the 5 1/4's sound as load as the 6 1/2's

OK Thanks for the info I will be using a JL 300/4 To run my front set of Boston pro 5 1/4's and my Boston SL 6x9 when i get them next week. Will this be enough power for them. JL says the amp puts out 75watts per channel.

Ok Thanks it was eather that or i was going to sell the 300/4 and buy a 450/4 that one put out 150/2 watts RMS for front channels and 75/2 watts RMS to rear channels. But i will keep that now.

That's funny! Make a post about what to buy and 4 consecutive posters say Quart's and you go off and buy the Boston's anyway....lol! That being said I'm sure you'll love the Boston Pro's (eventhough I would have prefered the Quarts as well). You really need to make sure you give them plenty of power. 75W will work for now but they need much more than that to really come alive. I hope you're putting them in the kicks because they don't perform as well in off-axis locations.
