i don't remember what all jassa had planned. take a few points off the mounting depth and a few other things. i think it was december or maybe beginning of this year when i talked to him about it.
last week i was told they could be built now, so i just ordered them. didn't ask at the time what all was done.
i can repeat what i've heard other users say about the dd mids..... their opinions were- they're not as good in the upper range or with vocals, etc, as they'd like them to be. but great on the midbass and impact was hellacious.

try the new W6.5 LT's if you want mid bass. you better brace the heck out of your door or else you'll lose a lot of energy into panel flex.
i haven't gotten to run them in a small box in the door yet. i have done some IB testing and it is a powerful midbass driver. full range 150w rms, the low bass notes was a little much and the over all sound was surprising. where i would expect most speakers that size to start rolling off, they kept going lower. xover @ 50hz they begged for a lot more than 150w. pretty efficient driver and get decently loud with what i had on them.
i know i've talked about them some with eastcoast. for the others, the FS on the new one's is 36hz and they are quad spider.
