Opening a new shop soon and i have all the lines figured out except for the high end amps and components. My thoughts so far are.....

DLS
Arc Audio
Boston Acoustics
Zapco / Illusion Audio
Zapco / MB Quart
Zapco / Rainbow
Zapco / Canton

Please help me choose one of the above or feel free to recommend something ive missed.

Focal, Diamond Audio, and Audison are already taken in my area.

boston has an awesome dealer program and i think their stuff sounds good.

DLS has great speakers and amps, entry level through high end. definite winner here.

i haven't been around arc's new stuff. their old stuff was solid, but price vs performance just wasn't there imo.

the couple sets of rainbow's i heard,.... should have been a lot better for the price that was on them.

more to look into....
helix
brax, but they are $$$.
dynaudio

Well...There isn't a rep for Rainbow in the US right now since they and Alumapro fell out.

And...I wouldn't expect to see Illusion Audio coming to market anytime soon.

don't over look dls. we used to deal helix until things went sour between them and peter (the importer) and they were no longer available in the country. so i had to find a replacement. i searched and searched to find something that acoustically compared for the dollar. i'd been watching and hearing about dls for some time. in all the brands i auditioned, when i finally came to dls,.... they filled that spot. now that helix is back, we're still keeping dls. their high end amps are as good as genesis, their low line components are tough to beat sound per $, and we all now that their high end comps hold their own in the sq comp scene.

I just recently had the chance to work with DLS equipment and liked it...they were hooked up to some high power sweet-booty amps though too.

If you are looking to be different ARC will fit the bill...I'm more attracted to the ZAPCO's myself....the c2k's are fine machines. I wish they would put out some tube stuff...
