I'm looking at buying all new speakers for my neon and here is what I think I have decided on..any input would be great.

Amp: Alpine MRP-F450 (70x4 @ 4 ohm RMS) Price: $225(or orion 8004 for $250..preferably the alpine though)
Component Speakers: MB Quart RCE216 Price: $180
6x9 Speakers: Boston Acoustics SX95 Price: $150

like i said in the second reply I'm thinking about going with some Boston Acoustic SX60 components instead of the MB Quart ones aswell.

If volume is your concern it will do.

If it were me, and I cared about how my music sounded, I would get more power on a 2 channel amp, ditch the 6 x 9's and spend that $$ on better components...$320 can get you something reasonable.

What would you think about getting BA SX60 components instead? I would like to upgrade my back speakers aswell and I think those would go better with those 6x9's but I don't know how they would sound other than the fact that I've heard Boston Acoustic speakers before and liked them.

Here's what I think, stock speakers suck, and almost any aftermarket speaker will sound much better. I do not compete or anything like that, but I have too have something that sounds good (to me atleast). I highly recomend listoning too a few different speakers before you spend your money. I personally like the sound from my Infinity Kappa speakers. Some people think they are harsh, but I like them.

I agree with Eastcoast. I would ditch the rear speakers all together. Spend your $ on clean watts and components up front and forget about the rear. Rear speakers will just pull the soundstage back (bad). This is assuming you're concerned about SQ as well as volume. Just my opinion. Martin

I still want to be able to have some volume and I plan on getting two 12xxx's eventually aswell so I ended up keeping the 6x9's and getting the boston acoustic components aswell. I should like it since I've liked every BA setup I've heard.
