Looking into options on how to run 2 sets of Mb Quart and 1 set of RMB8" midbass drivers all up front in the doors and kicks. What it is that I am trying to fig. out is best way to amplify and crossover...(active or passive?)
Requirements are 150 per side per set of mb quart @4ohm so I was thinking about doing a 2x300 @2ohms and running both sets off same amp... 8" mids still need power, do I do a second 2 x150 @4ohms to them or is there a way I can make this setup a 3 way deal? Any thoughts and or ideas appreciated.

So you're going with 2 tweets/side, 2 mids/side, & 1 midbass/side? You're looking to get 75 watts RMS @ 4 ohms to each component? (50 watts RMS to each tweet -they're rated at 6 ohms if I'm not mistaken). Do you want to biamp/triamp? Do you have the ability to do xovers with your HU? Martin

I can configure it in many ways. I am asking what is recommended/preferred and why. I am still on the fence about active vs passive, I have always ran passive in the past.

I guess a little more info on what I am trying to achieve here might be helpful. I am a retired SPL competitor who is considering building a vehicle similar to what one might run for Bass race. This would not be an SQ vehicle, it will play music 140db+... Passive crossovers may be good enough.
