I'm looking for some decent 6.5in coax (full range) speakers to replace the stock ones in my Nissan Frontier. I'm looking at the alpine sps-170a's and the mb quart dkc116's. The alpines are a little cheaper so I'm leaning towards them...They aren't in a SQ setup or anything I just want something that will keep up with the subs and play clean and last awhile. Any other suggestions? What are your opinions on what I've picked out? oh yea, I don't want to spend more than $100 for the pair... Thanks

Soo far I haven't had problems with MB's handling decent amounts of power. Although, I've really liked the sound of some of older Alpine seperates. Hmmm I'd still go quart.

< Not a big fan of boston pros. Although they sound nice, I've had to replace countless sets. Could be user error, but they don't seem to take a beating too well.

I might have to take a listen to the new Boston entry levels. But wherever the bostons couldn't hang, the quarts held up. (Then again, I tend to retune whenever I drop something new in.)

Surprisingly, the pioneer "rev" series (yellow with a funky grill) are extremely good sounding- they have a built in crossover (similar to eclipse point sources) and have large softdome tweeters like... larger than 1 inch i think.... they go for 90 bucks on ebay or so, but yes, the crossfire sx series 6.5s are awesome as well
