I have a Cavalier. I was just wondering if it was a bad idea to change from a 4x6 to a round 6"... Any help would be great, thanks guys...

i upgrade that in installs every chance i get. there's some other options too, if you have room and depending on your total systems plans. 7 x 10's, 8" coaxles.....just keep your options open.

Hey, I just did a 4x6 to 6 1/2" conversion on my G20 and I would do it all over again if I had to..

Nice improvement.

You can buy the adapter made for your car (actually many people who have my car used cavelier adapter) for 20$

Or you can just make a pair from MDF. I went to home depot and got enough wood to make atleast 10 of these for 8.50$ with tax.

make some 3/4" mdf baffles and trim out some of the metal in your door speaker hole. You will also need to trim plastic off the back of the door skin so the panel won't be bowed out.

Thanks man, I think for the Q panels i need to learn to glass first... lol... Over the winter I think I'm gonna try to learn to glass and make some door panels or something...
