Okay, I am going to be selling my Kicker RS6 components to a friend of mine along with my Orion 1200d and Orion 3002 amps....

So, I just happened to have came across a nice used set of CDT CL61a components, CL6X coaxials, & TW19 Image Enhancement tweeters.... these will be powered by my new Kicker KX650.4 (and my XXX will get power by a KX1200.1 amp).

Any suggestions on how well these perform in terms of output and midbass? The Kicker RS6's are great IMO but I am wanting to try something different and go with a 4-ch amp this time around.

BTW, in the near future I may find myself placing these components in the kicks (with some Q-Logic pods) and get some RE XXX 6.5 mids or matching CDT mids in the doors with a Kicker KX400.2 amp.

Suggestions, good or bad, are recommended.... Let me know what you think of these CDT speakers.....

I ran mine at 220w RMS, so the 456 crossovers didn't cut it and I upgraded to the 560's.
I've gotten nothing but compliments on them, but

I did recently blow a mid and am wondering what to do (probably buy some EF/HD mids and swap out my remaining mid. I don't know why it blew, but I would probably put the blame on me and not the speaker.

if you get a chance, go listen to crystal's soundstage series. see what you think of them over the cdt's. they really did their homework when they designed these.

Now, I just got to wait on my Kicker amps. [Wink]

I can't wait. I am thinking of buying some midbass drivers as well.

Should I go with the CL-6 or HD-6 midbass set? I want to put the midbass drivers in the doors, and then buy some QLogic kicks for now and throw the components in there. And, power them with a Kicker KX350.2 which is about 110 watts x 2 @ 4-ohm. [Smile]

the HD has much better midbass if that's what you're asking. i wouldn't expect any midbass from a q-logic panel though. seal the doors up and any driver will improve.

If you want midbass, look into 8's.
