Go to some shops and start auditioning. What sounds good to me, you may hate, and vice versa.

If you are into natural, realistic (to my ears) sound check out cantonusa.com I ran their components for a while and liked them very much. They aren't forward though, they are what most would consider relaxed, but that is because they are used to listening to "forward" speakers. Their drawback is that they are a little light on the midbass.

They will play loud and sound nice doing it. The light cone lends itself to nice midrange, but light midbass. If you are looking for comps that can take a beating look into IMagey dynamics Chameleons...big tweet and a strong mid.

there's also the crystal sscs's 6 1/2 components. we're doing a deal right now for $150 + shipping. i didn't believe it when i was told that other dealers said they rivaled dynaudio's in their display board. so i brought in a set and tried them in my gf's truck in place of her dyn's. crystal really did their homework this time, these things are sweet. if you really have a lot of bass, what ever you get, you might need to double up to keep up with the subs. i.m.o. 2 12's ported with 1kw and bigger needs 2 sets of components to keep up at full tilt.

i have crystals 3 way components and let me tell you they get plenty loud. (black cones) (1" tweet, 4" mid, 6.5" midbass). i can keep going on my HU and the volume just gets louder.

aahhh, the old black ones. i ran those back in the day, then i used the csc (silver cone) when they came out with them. the new sscs are a yellow (authentic dupont) kevlar cone.

i have a friend who uses them and i listened to our local reps vehicle a couple weeks ago. i thought they sound good, but not spectactular. i wouldn't put them above some of the other brands discussed recently. if i did, we would ditch one of the other lines and bring them in. they do have dealer friendly incentives, but i'm in it for the passion of good sound.

well guys i got the Crystal SSCS-6 6.5" Components now whats a really cheap and good amp to power the components need something like 200x2 watts

US acoustics has consistently benched within 10% of rated power, they do well as budget amps.
The info I saw on the benching of the amps was from couple years ago...no idea what they are doing now.

i would go for that crystal amp, it is a good score at that price. well worth it. us amps IS line is also a great entry level amp, but you still won't find one of those for price that the crystal is going for.

they old and outdated. don't sound as good as the old csc's and neither of them hold a candle to the new sscs's. the sscs's aren't that much more, i'd put my money in a set of those.
the cpe's sound good but really lack on mid bass. the new line just way better.

if you get the SSCS, which i have and love you will want an amp that does 200x2 rms at the least, i got mine going at 125 rms apiece and they seem to want more :)nice comps and resonably priced.

Any opinions on 5.25 components with good lower mid range and bass response? Thinking about Cadence MMX-5's or Infinity reference series.
