I would say a set of horns, and a pair of mids per side. That should get real loud.
Or like you said use two sets of components/coaxials per side. I would go with horns though.

For $250, look into Infinity Reference, CV Vega series, Polk, Infinty Kappa - clearance sales rock!!, JL, and RF P & X series. I think you can pick up Kicker Impulse comps for under 250.

The DEIs I heard before were very good for the $. All the brands listed above are available in Coax and Comps (Impulse still availabe in comps anyone?). Some people have had good results with Audiobahn comps (some like the mids and put on different tweets). Haven't heard anything about Crossfire coaxials or comps (anyone?).

You could probably pick up 2 sets of CV or Infinity Kappa coaxials for 250 +/- a tad. Circuit City sells Infinity Reference (last year's Kappa), Best Buy sells CV Stealth and Vega series (go with Vega), and Crutchfield sells them all (the Vega line they sell is limited to the 6.5 if memory serves correctly).

Good luck!!! Is your Ram Charger the old "block" style or the new style with the curved wheel wells? I love those "old" Chargers that sit higher than a lifted truck coming out of the factory . Put some big-@$$ tires on them and go anywhere you darn-well want too .

i have had rf fantic x's but i didn't like them they were the 4" comp set but then again its not 6.5's and two sets I shall have to go audition those infinity's. there is a pic of my truck i am getting ready to put a 360 in it with 38x14.50x15 and a lift so its going 12" from where that pic sets maybe higher

Scott,

I've used Blaupunkt coaxials before and for the price they were very nice. They are not the best things out there, but they will keep up with Kicker Impulse and JBL. Definitely better than factory!! I've thought about going back to them, especially since they are not that expensive and take a decent amount of power.

Good luck!!

blaupunkt over infinity kappas? damn you're killing me. Just spend the extra $$$ on the kappas now so that you don't have to upgrade later...you won't be disappointed trust me

what about 6 pairs of JBL coaxs..

im not sure what they sell for in the US.. but in Australia.. they are dirt cheap...

midbass from the entry level coaxs are pretty impressive.. the highs... well typcally forward JBL sound
