Well, i've narrowed it down to two component sets. I can get these two sets for nearly the same price, and i would like some opinions especially from those who have one of these sets. First off the FocaL 130V.....These have the TN 45 tweeter (1-3/4"). The challenger is the CD Technologies CL-51 components. I would get the optional 1" metal dome tweet if i chose these. The real kicker here is the crossover, Its called a SaTNET 456.....this crossover is 60 DB PER OCTAVE!!!!!!!! AND PROMISES LITTLE TO NO PHASE RESPONSE PROBLEMS. Tough choice eh??? Well, help me make it. Thanks guys and gals.

That xover is not what you think. They advertise something like a response SIMILAR to 60db/oct.

Smoke, mirrors, action.....

I'd personally lean toward the focals, due to my listening exp with their home products a few years back. Both are excellent choices, no doubt, but I'd still go with the focals.

Good luck dude!!

Well, I knew it was a VIRTUAL 60db x-over. But regardless the crossover is a fourth-order 24db per octave paired in series with a first-order 6db per octave front end. The thing is that my budget is somewhat diminishing and disappearing when i go to college in mid August, and i would like to split the money in a good way between a new sub amp and new components paired with coaxials in rear. Since i can get these high end cd techs for wayyyyyy less than the focals.........and have somewhat comparable sound. Then i say the cdt's may be the way i want to go unless any of you have seen any real problems with their product. Thanks for the help guys........What Would You Do??

Speaker selection is entirely subjective. I do not recommend purchasing ANY speaker system without careful auditioning first, not matter how superb I think they are.
Trust your ears! It doesn't matter what I, or anyone else thinks of the speakers, except YOU!

Cackle Ron "The Legit Audiophyle"

If it's coming down to budget...I can empathize....if you like the sound of the CD Techs and they are running that much cheaper, then I'd say take them. But, make sure that if you do that, you don't feel like you'll kick yourself in 3 months for not having THE sound you were looking for. Not that that will be the case, but it happens.....*sigh*....we're never happy with our sound are we....*sigh*

I can't give a reward for my missing wallet.....cause i have no money to reward anyone with.

Just send back my license......keep that wallet it has a hole in it that i haven't been able to repair.........I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my system though.
I believe i'll try the cdts, unless i come along someone else's lost wallet....hopefully without a hole in it.

my wallets not even mine, me and a friend caught some guy trying to light a fire in a park near my house about 5 years ago. he bolted but droped his wallet. i've had it ever since. hey it was a nice wallet.

as for the CDT's i have yet to recieve them, i had them shipped to my aunts house, but she's gone on vacation, and asked her neighbour to watch for a package on the porch (****in UPS, leavin **** on the porch).
so i find out saturday, if i have CDT's or not, else UPS is gonna get some irate canadian spit'in brimstone at the customer service reps.

You honestly can't go wrong with either brand, both make great speakers. I'm just curious why your comparing 2 sets that aren't in the same price range... I mean honestly you can get the HD set for close to the price of the 136v's. Either way, you won't be disappointed with focal or CDT. I just hooked up a set of CL61's in my dads celica convertible and they are clean and clear and get loud. Sound very nice.
