Morel, Vifa/Scan-Speak/Peerless, Focal, BA, Infinity Reference (Kappas are more mid-range, IMO).

I've not heard the Kicker & RF 4s in quite a while. Orion XTR might have a 4, Cobalt series should...Orion is always good.

Eton Hexacone 4" mids are probably my favorite 4" mid. Great stuff.

thank's for the info...

one question, if i intend to use dynaudio, then i'll need pretty big watts to drive it. would 200w rams (100 mids,100tweets) do? i was interesting in orion xtr 800.4 to drive the headroom.

the rear fiil that i'm going to use is 6.5" KEF KAR 160b with KEF 25u tweets. are KEF good?

I've been looking at 4" drivers for a new front stage. I've had a set of 6.5" Vifa mids in front at one time, and those had the best low frequency extension I've heard up front. But now I'm switching to 4" to 4.5" drivers. I've been looking at most of what Madisound/Partsexpress has to offer but I have a few questions. Can I really go by looking at the specs to find a good driver? Does a low Fs (around 55 for a 4") correlate to low frequency extension in any way? If the drivers are 4 ohms each, I'd put one on each side, if they are 8 ohms, I use two. I'm kinda leaning toward the 8 ohm drivers just because they are 4" drivers. Any recommendations? Thanks

yeah that's the sad fact you need poewr for Dyns, but boy is it worth it [Big Grin] , KEF used to be sold here, not for sure why they stopped selling it, had a trick 5.1 decoder in like 98 or 99
