i am looking for some major midbass. My front stage consists of Morel MDT-30 tweets, Peerless HDS 5" mids and i am still considering midbass. i was first thinking 8s in the kicks, then dual 6 1/2s but now i was thinking 10s in my kicks. how would a pair of MB Quart PWD254 10s in my kicks sound? they would be playing between 60-200 hz, either freeair or in small sealed boxes.

If you can get the 10" Quarts in the kicks, there is no reason not to run them all the way down to 20Hz and have some sweet upfront bass.

i am pretty sure i can fit them in, it will be tight, but i can do it. the reason why i would not play them all the way to 20hz is cause i have a DD 9515 in the back of my bronco tuned to 25 hz. (building the new box this weekend with removeable ports, i want a very low tune and a very high tune for comps)

how will they sound at the higher freqs like 200 hz?

Put the 5" in kicks and the 8 or 10's in the doors.

not gonna happen cause i am not cutting my doors to fit them in. besides, the mids and tweets are already mounted on baffles inside my doors and it was a pain to get them in there and they sound excellent to me.

anyone else have an opinion on how those 10s would sound at higher freqs like 200 hz?

the digital designs ddw6.5 are awesome. they are very accurate, and VERY powerful. they would love to see 100+ watts and will hammer like all hell. 2 in each kick will be amazing. i would seriously consider them if i was you. there is a good chance i will be investing in a pair [Smile]
