in a 1986 Cutlass Salon(2dr) is it possible to put 4's in the place of the 3-1/2's? And is it better to use a coaxial or a component system in these openings Kicker makes a 3-1/2" midrange I could build a custom crossover network or use one from a 4" component system, or should I just use a 4" system if possible?

well im sure you can make a 4" fit in a 3 1/2 space, but i heard some infinity kappa 3 1/2's the other day, and they actually sounded real decent considering their size. just keep the fader set more towards the rear, and you should be fine.......
