well, i havent heard either of them personally, but i have heard from other people that the hex's are way to harsh, and not worth the money(doesnt mean they suck though), and that even thought the rainbow reference line isnt worth the 7 grand, the rainbow dreamline is worth twice what it cost. people are always bragging about how you get so much from them for just $600.

systempimp_1500, i think you've got the rainbows overpriced... you can get the dreamline series 6.5 component sets at ampmanaudio.com for only 140 shipped... it's rainbows lowest line...

so basically my question's about rainbows lowest series versus diamond's highest series...
thanks...

The older Hexes were some of the finest speakers you could buy for the car. If you have them, then I wouldn't look into trying to upgrade them...not too many premade kits to upgrade to.

I'm pretty sure 99'= new Hexes. Are they black or a bright silver? I've never heard the Dreamlines, but if we're speaking of the new Hexes, I highly doubt the Dreamlines sound as horrid.

If your speakers are going into a door location (not a kick), check out the audio development line at ampmanaudio.com

The AD600 separates from AD are better in the door than anything I've ever heard.

If you are using a kick panel enclosure, check out the Rainbow Pro Components with Kick Bass midbass woofers. They cost a bit, but trust me, it's worth it.

The Rainbow Dreamline......you might as well buy Fanatic Ps from Rocfart Fosgay.
