I'm looking at either the dynaudio 360 3 way or piecing together a Morel set up.

Tweeter-Supremo
Mid-CDM 54
bass-HCW 8

Both set ups will be a three way front stage. I'll post some pics of the morel.

I'm getting the Pheonix Gold TI Digital Crossover.

Dynaudio 360

I might end up going with the 6.5 in woofer instead. Haven't decided yet.

Which set do you think will work better?

Until I can afford either, I'm thinking of getting this. A buddy told me he'd buy it off my once I upgraded. Is this a good set for the money? Is this 3 way a good comp set for only $349.00??

for the first morel set that you posted there .... is that going to be an all active setup? If so .. consider the extra cash you'll have to dish out for the amps.

I'd personally get the Dyn's because everyone knows they sound amazing and you only need 2 channels (instead of 6 with the morel .. again assuming its an active setup).

If you're going passive with the morel's, then I'd probably do the morels because those supremo tweets are supposed to be absolutely amazing. I'm not sure how the mids and midbass compares between the two sets ... [Confused]

that's a hard choice I've only heard the Morels in a home setup, and I've heard the Dyns in both, home and car. the mid woofer in the Dyns is better, the mid-basses are a toss up, the Morel more SPL, the Dyns more extension. now the tweets I will give that to hte Morel, more crystaline then the Dyns, but adding in the extra cost of active x-overs the nod goes to Dyns

Any will sound great. I used to have a Macrom 2 way 6" set which was made by morel. It sounded really well, it has very good mids but I find the tweeter a little bit lacking in detail(nothing an EQ can fix). Then just recently I got a set of Dyn 240's. The mids of the dyn's sounded similar to my macrom/morel but the tweeter really made the big difference. The dyn md100 tweet is a better tweet than the Macrom off the box.

I have also heard the 3 way morel's from one friend and also the Dyn system 340 mkII from another friend. Both sounded similar but again, the dyn's had a better tweeter. I find both seps to sound very wide. Perhaps this was due to the dome midrange that both sets were using. From what I've read, Morel licenses some technologies from dynaudio. So if you have seen a morel mid and a dyn mid, they look similar. Both have 3" voice coils, and a foam in the bottom of the magnet which is said to be their duct system.

In your other post, you said that you are getting a supremo tweeter. I personally haven't heard that tweet yet, but from what other people said, it seems to be one of the best tweets around.

I personally wouldn't go with a dome midrange in both dyn and morel. They seem to sound very wide and image seems to be so diffused. It didn't seem natural for me.

Both morel and dyn's are good. For the money, I'd go with the morel. But then again it's all in your preference.

Hope this helps.

I'd go for the best of both worlds:

Morel Supremo / Dyn MD140/2 / Dyn MW160

Or, maybe even better:

Morel Supremo / AVI MDN50 / Adire Koda 6?

I appreciate everyone advice but Rommel came close to what I'm going to end up doing. Well sort of.

Eventually Morel Supremo but for now DLS up1 tweet / dls up2.5 midrange / and the infamous Koda 6 coming on with the midbass.

A guy named Klifton Keplinger (sp?) is going to help me with a passive crossover. I'm putting a DLS ultimate A7 on the midrange and midbass, and a A1 on the tweets. Should prove to sound great, hopefully!

To get the supreemo you have to go through Morel Isreal. The webpage is: http://www.morel.co.il

Morel USA does not import the Supreemo.

The MSRP on the Supreemo is $500 for a pair.
