They look like some pretty awesome components. The rms power seems to be really high. When they say 300 watts rms, do they mean per channel(300 rms to left side, 300 rms to right side) or is that the total rms of the set? Also what about the 9" mid bass. They are listed as having 350 watts rms of power handleing. Is that per 9 or per pair. I was thinking about getting the three way set that has the 5 1/4 mid the tweet, the elite crossover, and the 9" that must be actively crossed over. I may even get the 6 1/2 set and buy the 9s seperate. Has anyone heard this set, or have heard any opinions?

They mean 300 watts RMS x 2 for everything. In the manual though, the recommended power handling is 75 watts continuous x 2 to 300 watts continuous x 2. I've heard the 6.5" set two different times. Once using a Ti 600.2 (150 x 2) and once using an MS2125 (160 x 2). Both underrated figures. However, the comps sounded breathtaking in my opinion. I hope to get me a pair, but I'm afraid I won't have a place to put them. They recommend a .4 cubic foot sealed enclosure for the 6.5" mid. Only .1 cubic foot for the 9" midbass. But the midbass is huge in itself. hehe If you end up buying the three way set, I would stick with the 5 1/4" driver. The 9" is going to handle your midbass, so the 5 1/4" is geared more toward handling your voices and snare drums, etc.

I have a very nice PDF I could send you, if you don't mind me e-mailing it.

So, how do they hold up at higher volumes? Im looking for great sound quality, and high volume. I will be getting 4 IDMAX subs, but of course I wont be listening to them at full crank all the time. Mostly I will be listening to my music at moderate levels, but I want something that can hang with my subs when I need it to. The power handleing of the set is incredible. 300 watts rms x 2 for the component set, and 300 watts rms x 2 for the 9" midbass.

The set got way to loud for my listening pleasure and I listen to my system at full tilt all the live long day, which is 80 on the volume dial. We didn't even turn the volume in the show vehicle all the way up. It is really a remarkable set all the way around, in my opinion. And not just cause I have a preference toward PG. hehe
I don't think that this setup will offer any output gains over the 3-way horn setup.

well ive just heard alot of hype about the titanium elite stuff, so i was just asking for some opinions. Most likey sticking with the three way horn set up, just exploring the options. There are way too many out there. Might use the PG elite 9"s in the three way horn set.

I wouldn't doubt they sound great since Morel makes the drivers for PG...and the 9" midbass would be slick in that setup.

Find out what drivers it is that Morel put in that PG set, and go buy them separately. You'll save yourself about $500. Just my .02.

Actually, I'm doing a 3-way horn setup with CD2 Mini's and the PG Ti6 and Ti9 Elites.......I'm anxious to hear how the Ti9's sound with almost 400 watts a piece on them.....

I just heard a set of Titanium Elites yesterday...the 5.25 and tweet were in the dash, and the 9" was in the floor firing straight up at your legs, just in front of the seat! It was in a Porsche 911...damn they sounded good, although I didn't give it a really in-depth listen.
Winslow posted that Morel makes the drivers for PG, so what do you guys think:

The speakers look similar from the front, but believe me, that's where the similarity ends. It is a completely different speaker...among other things, the morel R8 uses a hexagonal former and voice coil, has a larger mounting depth due to magnet structure, and is designed for 100 less wrms. The elite 9 was designed by Phoenix Gold in-house, and Morel was chosen for construction as they had experience building the most SIMILAR product. The Morel is by no means a bad speaker, and I would put them in my car if I didn't have room for the 9's, but the minimal cost difference if you have the space, is absolutely worth it... As Ferris Bueller said about the Ferrari 250 California Spyder; "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up..." ...or maybe two! I'd love to know how well they blend with the horns...can you guys keep me posted on this? Thanks!
