can't fit the xt25 in my install location plus i had a limit of 200$ =] the tweets were 30$ each and the 7" was 50$ each ordered everything from madisound.com(partsexpress had the tweet cheaper but they didn't carry the mid)
i was looking at speakercity and they have an older version 8" for 45 i think i might see if i can scrap together to try them both out
and yes i mean cap as crossover components went with Carli Mylar caps and some air core
should have them this friday/mon will tell ya how it sounds when i get them installed will be 75wrms to each side

sorry never heard the peerless, i was thinking about getting them..but after looking at the specs it looked like the vifa would work alittle better free-air..and since i was mounting them in my doors i opted to go with them instead =] vifa is 45$ each so not to much more

I am interested in those Vifa mids for my GMC Sierra Truck install. I can't find any specs for their mounting depth anywhere ( I am limited to 2.6 ") Do you happen to remember the depth?

I am glad you like your new setup...Personally I dont think you can go wrong with almost anything from Peerless or Vifa,,,,I now upgraded my Peerless CSC-X 6.5" drivers with ScanSpeaks 8545K...I love paying less due to lack of name or big marketing apparatus...

kan3 or anybody; when you ordered your speaker set from madisound did you tell them the x-over part's you wanted or did they choose the x-over. the reason i ask is because i'm going to buy sum peerless speaker's and i get lose when it come's to x-over's. if i let them choose am i doing the right thing. here's a run down of the set i want 6.5 midbass(850518) 4" midrange (830516) 1" tweet (811434) on eather a 2ch or 4ch amp. PLEASE HELP ME....

i decided on an x-over point and went online and used a x-over calculator to find the values i needed then bought those pieces...if you have no idea about x-overs...then i dont quite get how your going to build 1 =]
best bet would be to call them up and ask the ppl if they have any pre-made ones...or if they could suggest some nice x-over components and maybe you have a friend that could build it for you....orrr you could look online and learn to build them yourself = Posts: 3421 | From: Owosso MI, USA | Registered: Apr 2001
