What is the best place to mount tweeter in a mazda protege. I was thinking maybe the b piller or would it better somewhere else.

Just installed my Crystal comps and I had the installer place the tweeter near the side mirrors. That is an excellent place for great imaging! Rule of thumb: [The tweeter is best placed near the woofer within a comp set].

However, mounting the tweeter in a location where it will sound at its best is dependant from listener to listener.

yeah.....the closer they are togather, the better it sounds......thats why you should look into getting kick panels........

If you use the passives, then keep them close together... If you're going active, then you CAN mount them up higher IF you change the xover points on the mid/tweeter.
Go to www.concertcar.com message boards, there's a few threads on the subject. Very interesting... I may have to try it when I have some free time.
