In the kickpanel in my truck which would sound better, the Infinity Kappa Series 6.5 component system or the MB quart 218.03cx 6.5 component system?
I think that's the MB lower line series and Infinity mid line series...Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Okay I have a set of Kappa's in my own car as I used to be an infinity dealer. Never before in my life have I smoked tweeters, but I have gone trought 2 of the infinity's. MB Quart always seems to be a bit over priced to me, and are quite finiky also. What I mean by that is they don't take allot of abuse. Just a thought but have you looked into focal? We just started carrying them about 2 months ago, and the first day that we fired them up they made everything in the store sound like MEI. The entry level stuff is even pretty well priced. And they are built well and take a fair ammount of abuse. Just a thought for you.

I've had no bad exp with Kappas, but I've never driven them hard either (a Punch 60 is all I've sent to them). Quarts are VERY bright, which if you like that, then you'll be happy. I feel fatigued after listening to them, but that's me.
Focals, hard to beat them. Vifa, nice and not too pricy - PartsExpress has them right now. Morel, not sure about $ though - same with Dynaudio - both are great, but don't think we can keep you in that price range.
CV Vega series aren't too shabby, not sure if the Stealth series can take the abuse you're probably wanting to send them.
JBL has always been a favorite of stage audio techs, but a dark horse in the car audio realm - at least in my regions they are.
Alpine, Eclipse, and RF would be some other good alternatives. Even their "entry" lines sound good. I'm not a big fan of Polk, personally, but they are in the league of Kappa.
As you know there are countless brands out there. The ones you've offered, and Focals, are all great options. If you can swing the focals, I'd take them.
