If you have the power source then run 'em!!! I seem to remember the guy at my local Tweeter saying that they draw over or around I can't remember which, but it was in the range of 175 - 200amps for each!!!

Same company, but very different design. I have an X1001 and I think that would be a very good match. Saying a X1001 and a MTX 81000D are the same is like saying that a RF bd1500 and a Lightning Audio 1.1000D are the same, just not true.

These amp would work great if you have enough juice to run them. Each one of these amp draws 150A. You also have to remember that they have a regulated power supply so using stiffing caps for these amps don't help.

I'll double check my X1001 that I use for all the test reports I do for the magazine, but last time I tested it for max power, the monster made over 1600 Watts. Gotta love that!

you can run them at 1.5 all day long and will put out plenty of power for those subs.
