The ever-reliable JBL BP1200.1 will do that 1.5 ohm w/o a problem. As you probably know, it does its rated output with nominal impedences between 1 and 2 ohms.
Those subs are dual 1.5 ohm coil subs. Your impdedence choices would be 0.75 or 3 ohms per sub. Scratch my previous suggestion if you want one amp per sub.

how much power/money are you lookin into?? with 3 ohms, you could look into a soundstream tarantula or US Amps 2000X. both will do 3 ohms and give you plenty of clean solid power

you should really consider getting 2 1000/1 amps.......those amps are made perfectly for those subs and they can be adjusted to perfection just by following the settings in the file for them on the jlaudio website....

yep, the JL's are perfectly matched, probably JL's way of making sure you buy JL amps
but apart from those i would suggest a Viper2500d, it will do 2500wRMS@2ohm or 1700wRMS@4ohm.
Your woofers are dual 1.5ohm, connect each coil of the woofer in series, so each woofer is now 3.0ohm, then connect the woofers in parallel, now you have a 1.5ohm load. Connect this to the Viper2500d and you got your 1000wRMS+ to each woofer. the amplifier will be able to handle 1.5ohm, i know people who do that.

i dont know how clean the viper amps are but if you want to be sure of somethin loud AND clean i would get the JL's. 1000+ watts at 1.5 ohms at way under 1% distortion. It changes inpendance from 1.5 ohms to 4 ohms and 1000 watts @ 4 ohms on that amp yields .05% distortion. I have one of these amps on my 2 15w3's and it is SOOOOOO much cleaner than my old RF BD1500.1

2 of JL's 1000/1's would be great but for the price of 2 ($1400 brand new off ebay) he could get a better amp that puts out more power. depending on how much he wants to spend, i think the 1000/1's are outta the question .

Those woofers deserve an amp with a ton of control, if it were me I'd get the Zapco9.0, or if money is a big issue, two used / new B stock Kicker ZR1000s, series the coils on each 13.5 to 2.44ohms and the ZR1000 will love the load.

US Amps 2000X...I see them on Ebay for~$750
2 Linear Power 3.2...factory direct~$600 each
I also like the idea of two used ZR1000's..great amps
Do yourself a favor and stear clear of the class D amps. They are more efficient and cheaper than class A/B, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Posts: 113 | From: GA | Registered: Sep 2002

I third the Zapco 9.0. not only would it be worth the money, it would give better control, sound better, and your could get it to make 2200 watts easy and have choices of as low as 1 ohm stable. That and you could probly find a 9.0 new for around 1200-1400 bucks
