I want to get a Zapco amp to run my DD componets. I want one of their comp amps, but am not sure which to get. Can anyone suggest which model to get.

DD MAN, If you are looking for a good SQ Zapco amp, might I suggest the Z300 or Z600 C2K series amps. I have heard of people pushing those speakers hard but personally I wouldn't go higher than the Z600 (150x2).

Right now I have a Z100 running my componets. Sounds great but I want just a tid bit more power. Another one is in the mail Haven't decided if I will biamp or bridge one Z100 to each side.
The AG series are great amps. You can pick up an AG350 for under $400 which will give you 2x100. For a little more you get the AG360, bridge for 2x170.
If you have the cash and love zapco go with the competition line. Don't get anything smaller than the Z200 unless you want to biamp. Anything Z300 and up should sound phenomanal.
btw, don't let the low rating scare you. My little Z100 is rated for 2x25 watts into 4 ohms. Flip a few pages through the manual and there's a chart showing 2x40 watts into 4 ohms with .01% THD. Birthsheet showed 1x130 watts rms into 4ohms before THD spikes up.

i used to have a zapco ag350 running my subs and it slammed 100 x 2 @ 4 ohms 170 x 2 @ 2 ohms 330 x 1 @ 4 ohms
nice and clean and they powered my old subs nicely, imagine on a set of comps. for a set of comps i think you can easily get away with a ag series amp and save some $$$. just a suggestion

No, I have not got any new amps for the subs, but I did test the amps that I have and they are putting out aroud 3200 watts a piece. I don't know if I could find an amp for daily driving that is more powerful than that.

Which DD set you have? DDNT-1, or CT-28? I just took all mine out, I have 4 DDNT-1 tweets and 1 CT-28 tweet and 2 6.5's also 2 5" mids from DD. Need any? You have to biamp the set, I used many different set-ups, I used:
1. PPI PC 275- sounded good but needs more juice. 2. PPI PC 2150- a little too much juice 3. PPI PRO ART50- perfect for the set 4. US AMPS 4300X- perfect power
I ended up blowing one DDNT-1 tweeter from the US AMP rated 75 watts a channel. The CT-28 I bridged the rear channels on the 4300X and ran it as a center channel and it's freaking ear blistering! Accurate, loud, i took the 6.5's out of the door and did a 1 on 1 comparison with a JLWO6 and blew it out the water and will use those in the rear for extra bass to the system. Good sets I wish I had bought the 5" and CT-28's the first time around, now i'm back to infinity kappa for a little while.

Phoenix Gold Zeropoint cables and accessories used throughout system. (2) DD 6.5" subwoofers being worked on being added in for rear-fill.

Hello DD MAN - It pays to read the posts carefully (and to get enough sleep!), I was mistaken about your 'Q'uestion, I thought you were referring to driving subs - I went back and re-read your original post and realized my error, My Bad!!
