Well my friend has 2 spl 15's and has a Soundstream Rubicon1002 and he was hitting 144.9 on only the third day of owning the system. I perfer the Rockford 800a2 or 1100a2 I own a 800a2 and I absolutely love it. Also you might want to try the Phoenix Gold Zx 600ti that really pounds too... I have a lot more advice but these are the amps that I feel will do the trick...

Well the 500a2 will push out 500x1 at 4 ohms and I know from experience that you can go to 2 ohms and be fine so your answer yea that amp can power those subs fine you may want a little more power though, couldn't hurt to try an 800a2......

If you can find an ESX Quantum 1752, it fits the bill perfectly. Rated @ 500 rms x 1 @ 4 ohms. Actual output is about 15-20% higher. Great amp, I used to run one to my subs and it was a beast. -Jesse
