Hey just seeing if it can be done(possibly requiring mods) and if anyone has any experience with these amps at that voltage.

It will work on 16 volts with no mods.

The first run(20 or so) will run up to 18V then a voltage cap was implemented. The later versions shut down at 15.8-16V. Run at 15.5V nominal of .35 with a total reactive of 1 ohm, the amp drew 275A DC current. This was done around 60Hz. Lower notes will draw more current. I ran a pair of them strapped at .5 and once current draw exceeded 600A they started to bounce off of the protect circuit then shut down. Still a solid amplifier. I would run it at 15.5 with quite a few batteries or contact bob@americanbass to see if it can be modded to run at 16/18V.
