I am looking to purchase an older Brutus BXI 2006D amp that is factory refurbished. My question to you guys is what your opinion on hifonics refurbished amps and what is your opinion on the amp itself?

very good amp,I have one and it works great. Factory refurbished just means it was rebuilt back to factory specs. aka just like new inside.(ie parts) but maybe a few scratches on the outside. if its a good price go for it!

it depends on where it is coming from.

Not all refurbs are created equal.

I believe that as well thats why I asked the site where I will more than likely buy it from to clarify did hifonics refurbish it or did a third party do it and they clarified that hifonics themselves refurbished it. When I worked in the business we used to have Kenon refurbish amps and head units and they could **** up christmas.

THE HIFONICS BRUTUS ARE GREAT AMPS MY TEAM MEMBERS USE THEM ON DD AUDIO AND KICKER L7 SUBS. SWEET LOOKING AMPS TO WHEN POWERED AND THEY ARE UNDERATED TO ME. GREAT POWER AMPLIFIERS.
