WHY WOULD MY AMP BE CLIPPING AT 1OHM IF ITS SUPPOSED TO BE 1OHM STABLE. MEMPHIS ST 1000 CLASS D WIRED TO TWO 12-TREO SPEAKERS WHICH ARE DUAL 2OHM VOICE COIL SPEAKERS. I KNOW IT COULD BA NUMBER OF THINGS BUT HERES AN IDEA OF WHAT IT DOES. IT STARTS OFF FINE AND THENCLIPS BAD LIKE ITS AN RCA PROBLEM.WOULD IT BE BECAUSE OF AN LINE IN CONVERTER OR COULD THE CAR NEED AN ADDITIONAL GROUND WIRE FROM BATT. TO THE CAR BESIDES THE ONE IT COMES WITH. 2007 CHEVY MALIBU OR COULD IT BE BECAUSE IM TRYING TO KEEP MY FACTORY DECK? OR WHAT? THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

How loud are you turning up the radio? If you turn the radio up to much the signal will start to distort. Also how are you getting 1ohm from 2 dvc 2 ohm speakers? Sounds like you are getting .5 ohm. If you wire the + from both vc's together and the - together on each speaker that will give you 1 ohm for each speaker. Then if you connect those to the amp you are getting .5 ohm. Remember even though that amp has what appears to be 2 channels it is really just one channel with 2 output.
