Just curious to know if anyone has used the Stetsom 14 2kd in the Street A , B or C divisions . If so how efficient was the amp in terms of power handling , current draw , what scores .I dont want to diss any brand , just hoping to have some comparisons . I know this might be tough to do as there are different factors to consider when comparing amps. just looking for some kind of idea
Thanks

we have tested this amp in a 2 g3100 setup and got 6k+. Ray Farmer did it in his car and was watching the voltage stopping before 10v. It is possible to use this amp in street class but not suggested To get the power that they can make you need multiple batteries. Why settle for 6k when you can make 16 in the right application. Hope this helps.

THATS AN IMPRESSIVE SCORE FOR STREET A WITH JUST ONE AMP .WHAT BATTERY DID YOU USE AND WHAT WAS YOUR VOLT DROP .DID YOU RUN A NOMINAL LOAD OF 1 OHM . I BET YOU HAVE A VERY EFFICIENT BOX WITH SMALL IMPEDANCE RISE .DID YOU MEASURE YOUR POWER OUTPUT .IS THIS AMP THE 12VOLT VERSION
THANKS

Actually Steve you are wrong!!! I got 8k+ from the 14k2d off of 2 g3100's!!! I also got about the same power from my elite 12.

Man I guess I need to start typing with my eyes open. This amp is Bad Azzz. I used two at finals on 12v and did over 160 in my daily driver with 2-15's and played music for the 24+ hours home.No Failures for me!!!!!! We also have stock in the US of all the Digital line. There is a one and two ohm version of this amp and a 12 and 16 volt version. You can special order this amp with strapping cable.

Yes, you could say that, HOWEVER, build quality is VERY important based on the abuse that the amps get at the street class level. And the lack of power you can give to an amp on the street level is limited. That is why I go with cactus. I have had my elite 12 for almost a year now! I know some people who are STILL waiting for thier amps to come back from repair. If you take a poll on amps that are likely to blow based on use and the abuse that we give, cactus may be at the low end of the poll. They are stout amps. Not saying the other amps are not good amps, but some of them can not take that kind of abuse, cactus can. Also I look at it this way, If you have an amp and it stays in the repair shop more than you use it, something is wrong, no matter how much it cost. I rather pay 600 more for the reliability, than spending a lot of time and or money worrying about my amp blowing just before or during a show!!! I know for a fact some people amps have done just that!!!
