Yeah I know what you mean. I remember years ago a number of 4 and 5k amps coming out all looking the same, including one of yours.

Ok, I will try explain better these tests and why this kind of things happens.
First of all , all these tests were made with the same battery system and the same system of cables . It is one real situation where you simply change one amplifier by other. So,if you change one amplifier by other 40% stronger but you stay using the same quantity of batteries and the same cable system , the current and output potency will not increase 40% . All experient competitors know that. About the different values of potence in relation the factory specification what occurs is that factory specifications are made over ideal ohmic resistences not over speakers . Speaker has inductive resistence also . Remember that inductive resistence depends of the frequency that you are using also. So, there are several variables that you need consider to get the maximun that your system ( Amplifier + Battery + Cable ) can offer. Other thing is that these tests were made with 1 ohm output amplifiers. In my next post I will put the results for 2 ohms output amplifiers .

still not going to give you that much info sunshadow. running the amp at 0.5, but what's the reactive. One person's box would have a rise to perhaps 1.1ohm reactive. someone elses box might be over 2ohm. big difference in power there

If you want to know how much watts one 14K2 can do at 2 ohms (Final Load) at 12V. The answer is about 9500 Watts. You can check this kind of information in the STETSOM web site : www.stetsom.com .

Thanks for the info there Kidao. I am seeing 8540wrms @ 3.1ohms after rise from 1 ohm nominal,voltage dropping to 12.2v. from 14.1v@ 57hz.
