Anyone played with this amp at all? Wondering what it does for power and what other amps share this board. teammate of mine bought one without much background info..

looks like a smaller version of the xxx15000d to me. I know SS was supposed to come out with a xxx12000d aswell so maybe they just sold that design to PPI instead?

In fact it seems like a lil brother of XXX15k, CS12 or even Hz15k... just a bit less of copper bars, less and smaller caps and fets, probobly lower voltage as well.
But should do 10k i think
Btw. CS got CS8 and CS10 models so it could B one of them...

Yes they were offered to Team SoundStream members, and was going to be a 12k, but they thought they had too many amps too close together

They are cheep because they dont want the PPI name associated with SPL so they are selling them cheep to team Soundstream members.

the price my team mate was given by soundstream is unbelieveable for this amp! hes a team soundstream member of course but still. His price was less than half what I was quoted for a SD12k a few months ago.
He got the amp and it had output problems right away and he was 0.2 or so down with it compared to running 2 SS xxx-4000D's. So he sent it back in and now has it back and running well. havent heard any numbers from him yet though.
Hes running it at 0.5 ohm and the xxx-4000s were at 0.5 strapped. He has a smaller odyssey batt under the hood, then a 2150 in the rear and a SS 20 farad cap.
