So i've just got my new subs and built my box, 2 apline type x 10s in a 7ft3 ported box tuned to 34hz. I need either a big amp or 2 fairly big amps.. I was thinkin 2 PA5500s at 1 ohm? I'm on tight budget so p1000 rf are a no... haha

I have the BAMF 5500/1D and love it. For the price it's one awesome amp. It makes my DB Drives thump hard core, but I think I need bigger boxes.

a 3k amp will do well.(crunch gpv3000 or CS power fighter) it all depends on what your goals are. comp ,demo or ground pounder.

remember, you get what you pay for!

Power Rating :
1700 x 1 @ 4 Ohm RMS
2500x 1 @ 2 Ohm RMS
3200 x 1 @ 1 Ohm RMS
5500 x 1 Max Power RMS (this has me baffled, is this RMS or MAX power?)
you should be interested in the RMS not MAX! just to let you know.)

I'm sure it's a good entry level amp but don't expect to get 5k out of it!

In a box that big for a pr. of 10's I'd stick to 3k or so. You will find it easy to over throw your subs.
